Roderick Nairn

Roderick Nairn, Ph.D., has served as provost and executive vice chancellor for academic and student affairs at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical campus since 2008. He is an immunologist by training and is a professor of biology, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and professor of immunology, School of Medicine. Prior to joining CU, Dr. Nairn was executive vice president for academic affairs, dean, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and professor of microbiology & immunology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. As provost he has responsibility for faculty, academic, and student affairs across the Denver and Anschutz Medical Campuses. He is originally from Scotland. His education and training were in Glasgow, London and New York. In addition to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, he has held positions at the University of Michigan and Creighton University.
