Dear ACAO Members,

At this dynamic time in higher education, Chief Academic Officers are critical in shaping the future of education.  Given the demands of the job, the power of community is vital for all of us. The Association of Chief Academic Officers provides that community.  Through collaboration, sharing of expertise, and support, we are committed to providing the resources and network you need to navigate today's complex challenges.  I invite you all to join us, whether you are new to the role or have been guiding the academic vision for years.  We want you to share your experience with the community while leveraging the resources from ACAO by attending our events, participating in town halls, and engaging with your CAO colleagues.

Membership in ACAO

Annual membership is available for accredited not-for-profit two and four-year institutions and for profit institutions. ACAO is the only association for academic affairs leaders representing  public, private, 4- and 2-year institutions; from not-for-profit, for-profit, research, liberal arts, and technical colleges; from urban and suburban, large and small, specialized and comprehensive, US-based and international universities, colleges, community colleges, and universities.  For each institutional membership, the primary representative is the CAO.  Other academic leadership individuals of the campus should and can be included in the institution's membership.
