Ask A Provost

NEW Program for ACAO Members

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Ask a Provost program provides sitting chief academic officers (CAOs) who are members of ACAO with an opportunity for a confidential conversation with a retired CAO about day to day challenges or more complex planning issues inherent in the role. Given the complexity of the job, CAOs may benefit from a neutral third-party to serve as a sounding board. Ask a Provost was created by the ACAO Advisory Council and offers a confidential, safe space for open peer-to-peer exchange. This service is a FREE resource for ACAO members. Read more...

Strategies for Effective Executive Sponsorship of Adaptive Courseware Initiatives

Academic leadership is needed to support efforts to initially pilot and scale the use of adaptive courseware. This is the third webinar of the Personalized Learning Consortium’s 2019-2020 series on adaptive course implementation. Dr. Kelvin Bentley, digital learning consultant, moderates an engaging discussion with Dr. Laura Niesen de Abruna, Provost for York College of Pennsylvania and immediate Past President and Chair of the Nominations Committee of the Association of Chief Academic Officers, Dr. Marisela Rodriguez, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs of Laredo College, and Dr. Gregory Ochoa, Dean of Academic Affairs for West Virginia University Potomac State College. These academic leaders share insights from their experiences supporting adaptive courseware and digital learning implementation projects.
