Phil He, PhDSenior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (CAO)
I am a U.S. trained criminologist with a legal background from China. I joined the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) as CAO in January of 2023. I have been in my current position for over three and a half years. My predecessor Dr. BJ Reed has been encouraging me to serve on the Board since my arrival. The business side of my role is more settled in right now. My team and I have made many solid progresses in light of the challenging environment facing higher ed (and in the State of Nebraska). I have a lot to share and a lot more to learn from peer CAOs. I am ready to serve in any way I can to help the organization that UNO has been supporting since its founding. I previously served as a Vice Provost for over a decade at Northeastern University in multiple roles before returning to UNO (my alma mater) as CAO. I also have served as a former Board of Directors member and President of the Council of Chinese American Deans and Presidents. |
